What's Involved

From bare dirt to finished outdoor space

New builds typically leave you with a construction site outside the front door — rubble, clay, uneven ground and no clear path to the letterbox. Coordinating separate trades for fencing, concreting, turf, planting and irrigation is time-consuming and expensive, with each one pointing the finger at the last when things don't line up. We handle the entire scope with one team, one timeline and one quote.

We start with a site visit to understand what you need, what the builder has left you with and what needs to happen in what order. From there we develop a plan covering clearance, grading, drainage, hard landscaping, soft landscaping and finishing items. Because we do everything in-house — concreting, retaining walls, turf, planting, fencing, irrigation — there are no gaps between trades and no delays waiting for someone else to finish their bit. You get a finished outdoor space, on time, with a single point of contact throughout.

FAQ

New home landscaping questions

How much does new home landscaping cost?
Complete new home landscaping packages start from around $8,000. A compact townhouse front and rear typically runs $8,000 to $12,000. A standard block with turf, garden beds, paths and fencing ranges from $12,000 to $22,000. Larger properties with retaining walls, extensive planting or premium materials run $22,000 to $30,000 or more. We provide an itemised quote after a site visit so you know exactly what's included.
What's included in a new home landscaping package?
Everything you need to go from bare dirt to a finished, liveable outdoor space. That typically includes site clearance and rubbish removal, soil preparation and grading, turf supply and installation, garden bed creation with planting and mulch, concrete or paved paths and a clothesline area, fencing, a letterbox, and irrigation. We tailor the scope to your priorities and budget — some clients want the full package from day one, others stage it over time.
Do you coordinate with the builder?
Yes. We regularly work alongside builders to coordinate timing, access and any outstanding external works. Ideally we start once the builder has finished externals and the site is handed over, but we can also come in earlier to handle retaining walls, drainage or other works that need to happen before the build is complete. We communicate directly with your builder or site supervisor to keep things running smoothly.
How long does new home landscaping take?
A compact townhouse package typically takes one to two weeks on site. A standard block with turf, beds, paths and fencing takes two to three weeks. Larger projects with retaining walls, extensive planting or paving can run three to five weeks. We provide a timeline with your quote and keep you updated throughout. Weather can affect scheduling, particularly for turf and concreting, but we plan around it.
